Level 2 Safe Moving And Handling
The Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling is a one-day programme that teaches participants how to implement the fundamental principles of manual handling in the workplace. Practical elements will be integrated throughout the course to enable students to engage in secure moving and handling practices through the application of various techniques. A variety of subjects will be addressed, including manual handling apparatus and manual handling regulations. The Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling is a regulated course that confers a nationally recognised credential.
Organisations are mandated by law to ensure that employees who engage in routine manual handling duties receive sufficient training from their employers.
Who is the course for?
This course is appropriate for individuals who are currently employed or plan to be employed in a profession that requires manual handling. It is an ideal course for individuals employed in a variety of environments, including care homes, warehouses, and shops.
Assessment and Certification
To maximise your learning experience, a variety of learning styles will be accommodated throughout the course, including both theoretical and practical components. A knowledge-testing multiple-choice examination will be administered at the conclusion of the course. All delegates will be equipped with the knowledge, confidence, and certification necessary to implement the strategies outlined in the course to reduce the risk of hazardous manual handling in their respective workplaces.
Refresher training, which will consist of a one-day course, is advised every three years to revise and refresh your knowledge of manual handling.
